Well here it is, the start of another ambitious blog covering the renovation of an Airstream travel trailer. But I hope it will turn into much more than that. In addition to updates on “the big project” I intend to throw in some back story on how we ended up with a 40 year old hunk of aluminum and our plans for the future.
Starting this blog/website has been on my to-do list for months in anticipation of starting our Airstream renovation project. I want to document the project in an effort to stay motivated and prove to ourselves that progress is being made even during the slow times or when we are forced to divert our attention to other areas of life. The fact is, even if only one rivet gets bucked each day, it will eventually get done.
I also hope this process will help other people who have similar ambitions. There is no way that we would be tackling this sort of project without the help and inspiration of all those people who share their knowledge thru forums and blogs and even in person. Here’s to spreading aluminitis!
